About the Speakers:
Nick Reid
Nick Reid is a veteran travel and meetings executive.
ISBO Advisory Board Member, Chair of Long Range Planning Committee. Co-Founder of Travel Staff.
Jonathan Howe
Mr. Howe has written hundreds of articles, papers and books,
and has spoken to organizations all over the world on all manner of legal issues.
He serves as general counsel for Meeting Professionals International. He also is general counsel
for the prestigious Association Committee of 100 sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
He is a founder, past President and board member of the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys and was the inaugural recipient of the Academy Hospitality Industry Attorney of the Year. He is the legal editor for Meetings & Conventions and The Meeting Professional. He is the special advisor to the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Meetings and Travel and also served as the first chair of the
Convention Industry Council APEX panel on industry contracts.
He has received numerous industry awards including the MPI Industry Award, President’s Award from the Religious Conference Management Association, and the Hotel & Sales Marketing Association International Pace Setters Award among others. He is a fellow of the American Society of Association Executives and he is continually recognized as one of the most influential people in the meetings industry. He has published numerous articles and spoken all over the world on all manners of legal topics. He was honored as “Associate Member of the Year” by the Association Forum of Chicagoland and Chicago Tribune named him “Mr. Association Lawyer.”
